Time to reconnect
The team at Ribena Plus knows that when you come home from work you want to forget about the day, reconnect with your kids and get back into the family mindset – but it isn’t always as easy as it sounds!
Our new research has shown that parents don’t feel they can fit in the quality time with their kids that they want, with our study of 2,000 parents revealing that:
- Working parents feel they need at least half an hour to an hour to reconnect with their children
- Parents feel pressured into spending six times longer on chores each evening than playing with their kids
- 42 per cent worry they are not a good enough parent during the week
Parenting expert and Child Psychologist Dr Claire Halsey has worked with the Ribena team to reveal that it can take just 12 minutes to fully reconnect with your children when they come home from school, giving parents enough time to find out about their day and share an activity together! This 12 minutes gives you enough time to shake off the day, allowing you to then enjoy an evening of family time without the pressures of the day getting in the way.
To help parents get the most of the ‘We-connect’ time, we’ve put together the Twelve Minute Manual - a list of 30 fun activities that you can do with your child in 12 minutes at the end of your day.
