Take a few sheets of purple tissue or crepe paper, cut into squares and layer on top of each other. Fold the paper like an accordion and tie in the middle with a length of green pipe cleaner, creating the stem. Gently pull each piece of paper towards the top centre of the flower, separating each sheet to form the petals.

The guest of honour at any Purple Party has to be a loveable Ribena berry. To make one, just blow up a purple balloon. Stick on some googly eyes (the bit you blow into should be the top of your 'berry'), then use a black marker to draw the nose and mouth. To add the stalk, twist a long green balloon to the top. And get busy... the more the merrier!

Bring a warm purple glow to your party with these easy-to-make purple lanterns. Take some purple glass paint, paint the outside of a jam jar or glass vase, then place a night light inside once fully dry. Hey presto, pretty purple lights!

Cut out strips of purple card (about 30 cm by 2 cm). Then loop them around each other before sticking the ends together. How long can you make your chain?

Cut out a number of diamond shapes from purple card about 50 cm in length. Fold them into a triangle over a length of string. Glue at the bottom. Decorate them as purpley and fabulous as you like, then hang them up high where everyone can see!
