Ribena Best Picnic Spots Competition Terms and Conditions

This competition is now closed

1. This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except for employees of Ribena UK, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.
2. To be eligible to enter this Competition, entrants must upload a photo of their favourite picnic spot via Facebook and the Ribena UK website by:
   • a. providing their name and contact details
   • b. entering one of six categories for their photo (urban, countryside, indoor, family fun, waterside and unusual)
   • c. providing the location of their favourite picnic spot
3. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
4. The competition commences 00:00 on 23 June 2011 and closes at midnight on 18 July 2011.
5. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
6. 30 photo entries will be selected by the judging panel who will agree the 12 winners and 18 runners up.
7. The final 30 will be those judged to be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory by the judging panel. The final 30 entrants will be notified within seven days of the closing date of the competition (The closing date for the competition is at 00:00 on 18 July 2011).
8. From the final 30, 12 winners will be selected by the Ribena's Best Picnic Spots judging panel. The winners will be judged to be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory. Winners will receive a luxury Ribena picnic hamper, worth £100 and a professional family photography shoot.
9. The winners will be required to take part in publicity if they are happy to do so.
10. Those shortlisted entrants who have not been selected as one of the 12 winners will receive a mini-Ribena hamper worth £20.
11. All prize winners will be notified within 7 days of the closing date and will receive their prize no later than 28 days after receiving such notification.
12. A maximum of five entries per person for the Promotional Period allowed.
13. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
14. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
15. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, by entering this Competition, participants grant Ribena UK an exclusive, irrevocable, transferable, royalty free licence of all copyright and other intellectual property rights in their entries and waive all moral rights in them. Ribena UK shall be entitled to use any entries submitted under this Competition in any form, for all purposes in all media (including without limitation) any goods or products manufactured by or on behalf of Ribena UK in the future and to adapt the entries for such purposes as required by us.
16. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
17. The prizes as described are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
18. A list of the 12 major prize winners and counties can be requested by sending a self addressed envelope to Ribena Brand Team, GlaxoSmithKline UK, 980 Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9GS
19. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
20. English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
